The T.I Box
[Translation & Interpretation]
Our Translation process is client-oriented and tailored to their needs. We translate legal, technical and literary documents. Also, websites, corporate, corporate-sensitive and personal material. [read more] - [read less]
Our process is streamlined in 3 steps:
» Before translation: We identify referential documents, specific terminology, general glossaries and client-specific glossaries. We assign the translator/translators to do the job, based on their experience in the required field.
» Translation, proofreading, editing: The work team wraps up the translation soon enough as to allow time for proofreading and editing, as applicable.
» Closing: We update corporate glossaries and include client’s feedback.
We also do proofreading/revision, video subtitling, audio/video transcriptions (Word or PDF).
Our Interpretation service helps you deliver one oral message from one language into another.
There are different Interpretation techniques based on client needs, namely:
» Simultaneous interpretation: [read more] - [read less]
this demanding high-skilled craft is used for major events with a large audience. A 2-interpreter team per language interprets the message at the same time the speaker delivers the speech, all in real time. Attendees receive thru headsets the translation in the target language. Ideal for congresses, conferences, seminars,
» Consecutive interpretation: [read more] - [read less]
we reproduce the speech by sentences or paragraphs, without booth or headsets. Note taking is used while the speaker delivers the speech and then it is orally delivered in the target language (this method is used in small meetings with few participants.) Ideal for lectures, business meetings, press conferences, videoconferences, telephone talks, seminars, workshops.
» Whispering interpretation: [read more] - [read less]
we sit or stand near a small audience not speaking the source language and whisper the translation simultaneously into the target language. No special equipment is required for this type of interpretation. Whispering is great for events where the largest of the audience speaks the source language.
» Liaison or bilateral interpretation: [read more] - [read less]
we transmit what is being said in a conversation between two or more people one to the other. Besides note taking, (which is not always used) no specific equipment is required. Liaison or bilateral interpreters act as companions for one person in particular or for a small group. Ideal for small meetings or events, where no more than two or three people need translation, visits to companies, plants, job interviews, audits, tourist tours and attractions, etc.
